Harrogate Ladies' College (april 2013)
Hi, I’m Kaimook, Yathiwadee Anankul, a Year 11 student from the British International School of Northern Thailand. (LAMPANG) I’d like to talk about my experience of learning in the UK.
I won this Inspire! scholarship, an essay competition held by the British Council. It is for all children in Thailand, so if you are interested, you might want to check it out and maybe join next year.
For 2 weeks, I had the opportunity of studying in Harrogate Ladies’ College, which is in the town Harrogate, in the North of England. Harrogate Ladies’ College is an old English school. It is a very attractive school, with nice students and teachers. Everyone gave me a really warm welcome. You will see that in the pictures below.
The Licensee of The British International School of Krabi and The British International school of Northern Thailand, Dr. Pim, will also perform at BISK Talent Show 2013 on July 5, 5 pm at Ao Nang Cliff Hotel and Resort.
Did you know that Dr. Pim, founder and licensee of The British International School of Krabi and The British International School of Northern Thailand, is a passionate Jazz singer, and that she pursues this passion when she doesn't teach?
Well, if you didn't and would like to find out more - if you have time on July 5, at 5 pm, please check out BISK Talent Show 2013 at The Ao Nang Cliff Hotel and Resort, where Dr. Pim along with her students and staff will perform on stage.
The School is planning a field trip to Payap University on 5th July. This is a great opportunity for students from year 6 to yr 11 to see university life for real. The bus will leave Lampang at 09.30 returning about 5 Pm.
Head Teacher Ron will supervise the day together with teacher Heather and Teacher Ratchansee.
Year 11 class of The Elite School of Sports Hamburg, our partner school in Germany, will be visiting Thailand from January 25 to February 9, 2016. They will attend some classes at our school and will move down South to attend some classes at our school here in Ao Nang as well. They will stay at The British International School of Krabi in January 2016 as well.
There will be 11 students coming along with 2 teachers to supervise them including Mr. Christopher Prilop, our project coordinator of the Global Classroom which is the co-project between The Elite School of Sports Hamburg, The British International School of Krabi, The British International School of Northern Thailand and The British Institute of Applied Learning offering BTEC qualifications.
Always striving for the best, always moving forward, and that for our students and graduates from our schools and institutions around the country. Great news keeps coming. Recently, Our school licensee, Dr. Pim Photong, he British International School of Chiang Kham and The British International School of Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai campus commencing in 2016, has signed an MOU with Payap University, represented by Associate Prof. Dr. Sampan Wongdee, to establish Payap Study Centre to Lampang at The British Institute of Applied Learning, Lampang CBD
The best way to improve your English is to find a book that you really ENJOY reading.
You can read books on your smart phone, tablet, iPad, or computer. Here are some useful links:
We would like to encourage students to read more. You can read books electronically and here you will find many links to free books.
The new topic for our student talk in the morning is: "What book am I reading and why do I like it?"
