 Ms. Alicia Simes is an energetic and dedicated teacher. She was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa and later studied Child Psychology at Varsity College, South Africa. While teaching in Thailand, she has continued to professionally develop, earning a Certificate in Teaching English to young learners from i To I learning. Not only has Alicia has been invited to train and judge English competitions, but she has also organized a number of holiday events and extracurricular English camps. Currently, Alicia teaches maths, English and Humanities in both our Montessori Kindergarten (Reception) and our Lower Primary schools.

Alicia has fallen in love with the natural beauty and culture of Krabi, Thailand over the past 5 years. While living here she has taught, volunteered, travelled, and settled into her home away from home. Before joining our school, teacher Alicia was an English program teacher at Chok Chai School in Krabi teaching kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students. All of her education and experience with diverse students allows her time to really focus on their individual needs. Teaching young learners is a passion for Alicia. She is motivated by their unique imaginations and unconditional love. She prides herself in creating compassionate classrooms and curriculum where students feel safe to explore, create, grow, and learn.
